If, God forbid, I ever needed to use my firearms in my home in defense of myself or my family, it would be very likely that I would be firing up or down a stairway due to the layout of the house. I have not yet had the opportunity to shoot in a realistic shoot house, and all the ranges near me are flat. What, if anything, changes when shooting up or down an incline?

Hi, my name is Jarod, and I’m a dot-chaser.

I realized recently that I have trouble keeping tight groups on paper because as soon as I shoot a flyer , I end up chasing my hits around the paper trying to tighten the group again. I realized when I went to a plate shooting event recently when paper was replaced by steel that either fell, or didn’t, that I shot much better. Since shooting steel isn’t always an option, how would you recommend I work on this when shooting paper?

If someone is forced by necessity to use a bolt-action rifle, or break-barrel shotgun for self defense, what should the person change about their tactics or approach?

I always hear that a gunfight is a dynamic situation, where movement and decision making is of paramount importance. I do not have any facility near me where I can shoot and move with live firearms. How do you recommend someone train for the dynamic nature of a gunfight on a linear gun range?
