    I have another question.

The place I work at has had a no-gun policy ever since an employee’s car got broken into and his gun stolen (from a car holster visible to passerby…what an idiot). I have brought up getting this policy overturned with co-workers and the only responses I can get vary from “just lock the door” to, “just let them shoot the place up.” So I carried anyway and told no one. Do you guys have any tips or know of any resources I can turn to for help in order to convince the owner that such a policy is unnecessary? How about in the case of larger companies with a blanket, corporate no-weapons policy?

    Hello!

I’ve been shooting for a little less than a year now and finally got my CCW! Yay!

I recently got a hold of a belly band (I’m a girl) and have started carrying at work. (prior to this I had my LCP in a galco clip holster inside my bag.) Today, I had a thought- if I am shot at before I can draw my weapon and they hit my gun, will I still be able to take a shot with it? My setup right now has my weapon resting in front of my diaphragm/upper abdomen, which would be a good spot for a bullet. I imagine the impact would break a few ribs and knock the air out of me, but if I’m lucky I won’t be entirely incapacitated that I wouldn’t be able to wield a gun..?

I am an EMT and work as a dispatcher for a private ambulance company in a not-so-good area of town (Columbus OH), and some days I’m alone in the building. Just this past weekend we had a break-in in our parking lot, the fourth one this year. Most days, though, it’s just me daydreaming about the zombie apocalypse.
